SPYAIR to play at ‘JISAN VALLEY ROCK FESTIVAL’ in Korea + info about upcoming lives and 5th single!!

Japanese rock band SPYAIR are getting ready to release their 5th single “BEAUTIFUL DAYS” on August 24th, but they’ve got some additional great news for fans.

Starting Friday, July 29th through Sunday, July 31st, the band will appear at Korea’s largest outdoor music festival, the ‘JISAN VALLEY ROCK FESTIVAL 2011‘. This festival is held in cooperation with Japan’s biggest music festival, the ‘FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL‘.  All-star headliners like THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS and ARCTIC MONKEYS serve as the face of the festival, however, there are other Japanese artists who’ll make their presence known at the festival, including ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, Kururi, 9mm Parabellum Bullet, and ONE OK ROCK.

Back in March, SPYAIR promoted their single “Japanication” in Korea. Furthermore, the band appeared on the popular Korean TV channel, Mnet, releasing a documentary-style music video of special “street performances” held in Seoul. This music video became a hot topic, leading to many Korean blog and Twitter posts; the band have even been receiving letters and presents from Korean fans! Their appearance at the festival has come at a good time, in light of their soaring Korean popularity.

Though still newcomers, SPYAIR will hold their own concert at the Hibiya Kokaido outdoor concert venue in October.   They declared, “At outdoor live concerts, no one will be picked on!”. Anticipation is rising high both at home and overseas for this fun live.
