On August 16th, it was revealed that Korean group After School will be collaborating with Sanrio’s Hello Kitty as part of their promotions for their Japanese debut single, “Bang!”.
The new Hello Kitties will be based on the single’s style concept. The characters will wear the same marching band outfits from the girls’ promotional pictures, as well as the same hairstyles.
For this project, the officials from Sanrio offered this plan to the members of After School because they are known for their love of Hello Kitty, and subsequently they purchase a lot of Hello Kitty goods as well. Kahi (30), the leader of this group, commented, “I am anticipating to know what kind of other goods are to be created. I would love to use them.”
As a part of this collaboration event, they have announced that they will sell their Hello Kitties at their mini live event on September 10th.
