Record label TOY’S FACTORY has announced that BUMP OF CHICKEN’s 21st single, “Zero“, will be delayed two weeks. While the single was originally scheduled to be released on October 5th, it’s been decided that “Zero” will accompany the launch of upcoming PSP game, “FINAL FANTASY Rei Shiki“, which utilizes “Zero” for its theme song.
With “FINAL FANTASY Rei Shiki” scheduled to hit stores for October 27th, the new release date for BUMP OF CHICKEN’s single has been changed to October 19th.
The single’s limited edition will feature a cover design by Yoshitaka Amano, who is in charge of the designs for the popular “FINAL FANTASY” series. The band members have been remade into pixel illustrations, and the design will be used as the CD jacket. Considering this strong link between the band and the game, the agency decided to delay the release date.
Additionally, BUMP OF CHICKEN’s DVD “COSMONAUT” (which was also scheduled to be released on the same day), has delayed its availability to October 19th. The Blu-ray version will be ready for November 2nd.
Meanwhile, the application period for tickets to the band’s live house tour has been set from October 19th at noon to October 20th at 11:00 PM.
