Actor Irie Jingi (18) will be releasing his very first photobook, “JINGI 18“, on September 26th.
Irie is in his fourth year of acting, and he currently stars in the dramas, “Kingyo Club” and “IS ~Otoko Demo Onna Demo Nai Sei~“. Since it’s his last year of summer as a high school student, Irie showed off the body he sculpted by sporting swimwear and underwear in his photobook. He shared, “I do weight training everyday! Lately, I do 100 push-ups a day.”
In middle school, Irie sent his resume to Ken-On, and just three days after he signed with the agency, he was put in the cast of the drama, “Zettai Kareshi“. Since then, he has starred in the movie, “Gokusen THE MOVIE“, and many CMs. Last year, he even made his debut in a stage play.
Regarding his first photobook, he joyfully commented, “I am filled with happiness. I will be happy if people grow interested in me after looking at this photobook.” He showed his confidence saying, “The highlight [of the photobook] is when I’m eating udon, and when I’m in the ocean. I think you will be able to see me up close.”
“JINGI 18″ was shot in Megijima (Onigashima), Kagawa, by photographer Seki Megumi. It focuses on Irie’s solitary journey on an island in Japan.
To celebrate the release of his first photobook, Irie is scheduled to hold a handshake event at Tower Records Shinjuku on September 25th.
