Actor Takaoka Sosuke (29) returned to Narita Airport on August 5th after a trip to New York. He was spotted wearing a black hat, black sunglasses and a mask. When the press asked, “How was New York?”, Takaoka pulled his mask down and answered, “It was fun,” remaining silent thereafter.
Takaoka was involved in a Twitter scandal last month after criticizing Fuji TV and the ‘Hallyu Wave’ (a term used to describe the strong emergence of Korean entertainment in foreign countries). After the incident, he resigned from his agency and hinted on Twitter that there was a crack in the relationship between him and his wife, actress Miyazaki Aoi (25).
Takaoka didn’t respond to any questions regarding a possible divorce with Miyazaki, his future work, or his Twitter scandal; he just continued walking forward in silence. When the press asked him if he had anything to say to his fans, he just raised his right hand, as if to signal “Hey”.
Afterwards, he met his staff, got into a car and left the airport.
