Although G.NA claims she’s a “Top Girl” who enjoys fine luxuries and the like, she revealed that she’s actually quite careful when it comes to money.
G.NA recently sat down for an interview with Sports Seoul and revealed, “A while ago, I received a sum of money from my album promotions earlier this year as well as from my CFs. It’s the first time I earned money since entering the industry six years ago, so it was really special to me. I didn’t touch any of it and gave it all to my mother as a present. I said to her, ‘Mom, I think it’s time I gave you an allowance.’”
Starting with “Black & White“, she went on to land endorsement deals with Calvin Klein and even LG Electronics, totaling up to seven different deals.
She continued, “After losing my father at a young age, I was always thankful to my mother for always being there for me. When I first received the money, many different memories flashed through my mind, like when I first came to Korea in 2005, when Five Girls disbanded in 2007, and the training I had undergone for my career.”
After revealing that she receives $40 USD for an allowance every month, she concluded, “Honestly speaking, I don’t have a lot of things to spend money on. I buy snacks for the most part, and the only time I ever overspend is when I buy a bunch of my favorite jellies at once. I don’t have any luxury bags; the only one I have is one I received from starring in Lim Jung Hee’s ‘Golden Lady‘ music video earlier this spring.”
