More details about AKB48’s 23rd single “Kaze wa Fuiteiru” revealed

Earlier this month, AKB48 already announced the title of their upcoming 23rd single “Kaze wa Fuiteiru” at a handshake event. Today, they released the tracklist and a few new details.

“Kaze wa Fuiteiru” is an impressive song with encouraging lyrics that encourages everyone to stay strong no matter what happens, and that everyone will eventually move on towards the future. It includes fifteen members from AKB48, two from SKE48, and one from NMB48.

Of course, the Undergirls will provide the coupling song, called “Kimi na Senaka“. The music video for “Kaze wa Fuiteru”, that was already teased the other day, will also be included in both of the versions, and was directed by the well-known CM director Kuroda Hideki (Shiseido, Citizen Watch, etc.).

The single will be released in two different versions, Type-A and Type-B, both coming with a DVD with the music videos, as well as a voting ticket for the upcoming “AKB48 Request Hour Set List Best 100 2012” event in January of 2012.

Furthermore, fans can also look forward to ‘rebirth’ of the 2003 shuffle units of Team A and Team K. Both units actually never really got the chance to perform and therefore refer to them as the ‘phantom units’. Now they are called ‘Undergirls Bara‘ (rose) and ‘Undergirls Yuri‘ (lily). Type-A will feature Undergirls Bara and their song “Vamos“, while Type-B will feature Undergirls Yuri and their song “Gondola Lift“. The two music videos will be split the same way.

Additionally, the DVDs are going to include a different bonus clip for both of the versions.
