On September 1st, model/singer Tsuchiya Anna appeared at a press conference for Kamen Rider’s 13th series, “Kamen Rider Fourze“, at Nicofarre.
Tsuchiya, whose new song “Switch On” has been chosen as the theme song for the TV series, commented, “I immediately thought that my son, who loves Kamen Rider, will be really happy. After that, I felt the blessing to be able to sing.” Then she joked, “With this husky voice, am I really okay for the song?”
When asked which role she would want to play, Tsuchiya answered, “I think everyone knows, but probably the villain. I would want to play the role of a girl who helps the hero, but with this voice, I’m more suited for a villain.” She continued, “But if I really do play the villain, my son will probably tell me, ‘Mom, you’re scary!’, so it’s impossible.”
Regarding the theme song, she showed her confidence in its appeal by saying, “It’s a cheerful song that will linger in your ears. It also has a good beat, so I think the children will love it. In order for the children to get into the song, I changed the direction of my singing just a little.”
Kamen Rider’s new series has a spaceflight motif, and will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the mankind’s first flight in space. The main character of the story is a high school astronaut, who will be played by actor Fukushi Sota.
