“The Great East Japan Earthquake Recovery Festival 2011″ to be held at the end of October

A great charitable cause will be held on October 29th and 30th to support the disaster victims from March’s Tohoku earthquake   earlier this year.
Named as “The Great East Japan Earthquake Recovery Festival 2011 ~For the Future of the Children~“, this event was sponsored by five organizations including the Japan Phonograph Record Association, the Recording Industry Association of Japan, the Music Publishers Association of Japan, the Music Producers Association of Japan, and the All Japan Concert & Live Entertainment Promoters Conference. The event will be held to give aid to victims through music, comedy, and food. All proceeds from ticket sales will be used to support the future of the suffering children.
The event will be held at four venues in Yoyogi, Tokyo: Yoyogi National Stadium First Gymnasium, Second Gymnasium, SHIBUYA-AX, and Olympic Plaza. On the 29th, ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, Ikimono Gakari, Sandaime J Soul Brothers, TOKYO SKA PARADISE ORCHESTRA, and Unicorn are scheduled to perform at the First Gymnasium. Meanwhile, the Second Gymnasium will host kalafina, sphere, Faylan, Makino Yui, Yousei Teikoku, and Yonekura Chihiro. Finally, the set list for the 30th will include performances by Asou Natsuko, Ishikawa Chiaki, Kawano Marina, Kurosaki Maon, Sato Hiromi, JAM PROJECT, and Chihara Minori.
On the 29th, SHIBUYA-AX will feature appearances by 28 comedian groups, and a live by SDN48, Kikkawa Yuu, and Passpo☆. Meanwhile, the Olympic Plaza will feature a collaboration project from “Food Relation Network” by ap bank/kurkku and CAFE COMPANY’s “Food of the East Club“. Throughout the two days, restaurants and miscellaneous goods stores from the East will open up stands, and an outdoors restaurant by a famous chef will be opened.
Tickets will be available for purchase starting October 8th. Admission to the Olympic Plaza will be free.
