U-KISS Debuts in Japan With "Avex"

U-KISS are ready to debut in Japan after the announcement that they have signed with Japan's largest record company, "Avex Trax" . So join the list of Japanese artists signed to the label, such as "2NE1", "After School" or "Super Junior". In addition, the group's popularity is soaring after the addition of two new members. His agency, "NH Media" has confirmed the news adding more information. The first single from U-KISS in Japan will be a version of an item included in the minialbum "Bran New Kiss" that will go on sale in August and this will be followed by a second single to be released in December.

TBS Ongaku no Hi : Presents 50 Artists on Music Program!!

TBS music show “Ongaku no Hi” to set record at almost 8 hours long
On July 16, TBS will broadcast a live music show called “Ongaku no Hi” (“Music Day”). It will last a total of 7 hours and 40 minutes, setting the all-time record for longest single music show ever televised. SMAP’s Nakai Masahiro (38) and TBS announcer Azumi Shinichiro (37) will serve as hosts.

At a length of 7 hours and 40 minutes, “Ongaku no Hi” will surpass even the big year-end music events like NHK’s Kouhaku Uta Gassen and Fuji TV’s FNS Kayousai. Currently, the longest such show is TBS’s “Countdown TV Special” at the end of every year, which was 5 hours and 15 minutes last year. Nakai also hosted that show, and he has previously hosted Kouhaku Uta Gassen on 6 separate occasions.

Approximately 50 artists will perform on the show. According to the TBS website, the roster currently includes:

SOPHIA : Move to Avex

Rock band SOPHIA participated in a special event on Monday celebrating the completion of the V-cinema film “Kamen Rider Eternal.” During the event, they announced that they are changing labels to Avex and will release a new single called “cod-E ~E no Angou~” on July 27. That song is being used as the theme of “Kamen Rider Eternal.”

SOPHIA halted activities in April 2010 after keyboardist Miyako Keiichi revealed that he was diagnosed with lymphoma and would be undergoing treatment. He resumed his musical activities in October.

During the “Kamen Rider Eternal” event on Monday, there was a talk event with the movie’s main cast, including SOPHIA vocalist Matsuoka Mitsuru. At the end, SOPHIA performed as a complete band with Miyako for the first time in approximately 14 months.

SOPHIA also announced that they will hold a concert on August 13 at Nippon Budokan, which will be their first real concert since restarting.

Looks like SuG have a DVD to release in September this year!

Great news for all fans that are unable to attend any real life concerts: SuG will release a new live DVD this fall! The DVD has been named "SuG TOUR 2011「TRiP～welcome to Thrill Ride Pirates～」" and it's coming in one Standard Edition and one Limited Edition. Exactly what the differences will be has not yet been revealed, but since the Limited Edition costs 5,800 yen while the Standard is only 3,800 it better be something exciting!

This DVD will go on sale on September 21st!
