2PM tweets New Year’s greetings + pokes fun at their performance on ‘MBC Gayo Daejaejun’

Although 2PM put on a spectacular performance last night at the ’2011 MBC Gayo Daejaejun’, fans had a hard time seeing them due to the giant balls that somehow made their way onto the stage.

The balls were used as props for the “Hands Up” performance, but instead of traveling around the stadium, the balls were all passed to the front and right into the middle of the stage, covering 2PM’s performance from view.

Because the balls had all migrated to the center of the stage much faster than anyone had expected, the staff had to go on stage to kick the balls out of the way in the midst of the group’s performance.

After the end of the show, 2PM left New Year’s greetings on their Twitter and wittily incorporated the word “gohng” (the word for “ball”, with other meanings such as “zero”, “distinction”, “labor” in Korean) into their messages as much as possible, as if to joke about the mishap during their performance.

Nickhun tweeted, “Everyone!!!! Hope you receive much distinction ["GOHNG"] in the New Year!!!!!!!! Be successful in the year of Two Zero ["GOHNG"] One Two!!!!♥”

Junho wrote, “Happy New Year ^^! You are the main character ["joo-in-GOHNG"]!! We put in much labor ["GOHNG"] into our performance ["GOHNG-yeon"] today ^^… 2012 Fighting!! Thank you to the staff for working so hard for the year-end!!”

Chansung also followed, “Everyone, it’s now a new year!! When I reflect on 2011 which has passed in the blink of an eye, I think a lot about the person I had been. ^^… You are the main character ["joo-in-GOHNG"] of 2012 ^^ You all saw our stage that we put in much labor["GOHNG"] into today, right?? Happy New Year ^^~~”

Taecyeon chimed in, “Everyone~ did you enjoy classic “Hands Up” and “Back To You”? A surprise even the main characters ["joo-in-GOHNG"] were surprised by!!… It is now 2 zero ["GOHNG"] 12!! Since our performance which we have put in so much labor ["GOHNG"] has ended, for all those people who worked hard today, Happy New Year~”

The hijacking continues – Super Junior’s Shindong steals Siwon’s abs

Today, Earlier reported that Super Junior‘s Shindong pasted a photo of his face onto Jay Park's muscular body.

His hijacking shenanigans have struck again, only this time he’s decided to target fellow member Choi Siwon!

Shindong wrote on his me2day, “Oh my!! Abs on a body had this much popularity!! That’s why today I will show two more shots!! Today is Siwon’s body!! ‘Siwon, now you know why I didn’t make this kind of body right?’ If I become like this, I will become Super Junior’s #1 visual!! hahaha (Siwon sorry.. haha)”.

Super Junior’s Shindong hijacks Jay Park’s abs

It looks like Super Junior‘s Shindong gained some miraculous results from his diet. …Or did he?

On December 15th, the multi-talented idol shared a photo on his me2day along with the caption, ”Is it finally time to reveal my muscles….? kekekekekekekekekekekekekekekeke Sorry Jay, I used your body kekekeke.”

Hilariously, Shindong cropped his face onto Jay Park’s body and blended the layers so perfectly that many fans believed that it was the real thing.

Netizens commented, “Unbelievable“, “You almost made me order a copy of GQ…….“, and “Seriously, is there anything you can’t do? hahaha”

Yamamoto Yusuke shows off his AKB48-style cosplay

On December 2nd, Yamamoto Yusuke, Mizobata Junpei, and Okamoto Rei held an interview before appearing in Ever Green Entertainment’s event, “Ever Green Entertainment Show 2011 vol.2” at Shinagawa Stellar Ball.

In the stage play segment of the event, Yamamoto plays a ‘homosexual character’ who wears an AKB48 costume. When reporters asked, “Is that your true self?“, Yamamoto responded, “I’m really not like that, and I don’t have any feminine habits!”

This is the Ever Green Entertainment’s second year to hold the event. Before coming to Tokyo, they held successful events in Osaka and Nagoya. Mizobata commented, “In Osaka and Nagoya, the people in the audience were very kind. Their reactions and responses were really good. I want to do my best in Tokyo.”

Meanwhile, Okamoto stated, “The teamwork is improving, so I want to utilize what I learned here in my next work,” as Yamamoto expressed, “If we’re able to do this again next year, I want to deliver our gratitude and friendship to even more people.”

“2010 JUNON Super Boy Contest” winner Katoono Taikou, who exchanges a kiss with Yamamoto in the play, said, “I’ve always thought that when I become an actor, there would be kissing scenes with an actress. But I’ve never thought my first kiss would be with a man.” He revealed that he was puzzled at first, but proudly stated, ”Now, I’m used to it. I’m okay with kissing Yamamoto-san!” Hearing this, Mizobata joked, “It’s not good to get used to it~”

Lee Hyori spotted wearing a ring

On November 19th, ‘Sexy Queen’, Lee Hyori uploaded the funny pajama photo above through her Twitter account.

Along with the picture, the queen left a short caption, “Heung! Chit! Bbong!“.  For those who do not know, “Heung! Chit! Bbong!” is sort of an Onomatopoeia where Heung! and Chit! are used to indicate that you are annoyed or pissed off at someone.  Bbong! depicts the sound from a rear trumpet in a cute way.

Lee Hyori seems to be taking it easy these days with no major activities after the release of her H-Logic album in 2010.  Fans were able to catch a glimpse of her ordinary life at home as Hyori is seen well asleep with her dog, Soon Shim on a sofa.  Her lazy appearance cracked up netizens as she rocked a loose pajama while laying down in a similar pose to her pet.  However, what caught the eyes of netizens was the ring on her hand.

Netizens responded with, “What’s the meaning of that ring?“, “My sister is sleeping like that behind me“, and “You look really comfortable“.

Could the ring be hinting at something?

2AM’s Changmin is addicted to ice cream?

On November 20th, 2AM member, Changmin uploaded a hilarious photo through his Twitter and wrote, “Ice Cream is the best thing in the whole world.  I wish I lived in a world where you can’t gain weight.  I will see you after the concert..my ice cream~“.

The photo had fans cracking up as they saw the singer’s sad face in saying good bye to his beloved ice cream cone.  Bits and pieces of the waffle cone stuck out of the idol’s mouth as he helplessly stared at the camera.

Amused netizens commented, “I see that it’s hard to maintain a healthy body” and “Anticipating your concert“.

The girls of ‘Invincible Youth 2′ transform into village ahjummas

The cast of ‘Invincible Youth 2‘ (who are lovingly called the ‘G8‘) recently revealed their awesome “granny pants” on Twitter.

Production company KBS tweeted, “This is the shot with the G8 members in granny pants. Pretty~”.

Hyoyeon, Sunny, Yewon, Bora, Suzy, Jiyoung, Woori, and Amber are seen posing happily in the colorful floral pants, which are a popular item amongst elderly women in Korea.

Fans of the show laughed as they commented, “Though they look like members of girl groups, their clothes say they’re part of a fishing village”, “You’re all smiling so brightly while wearing body pants, it’s cute,” and “DAE. BAK.”

AKB48’s Kojima Haruna endorses Metal Gear Solid HD edition

Konami’s Kojima Productions have enlisted AKB48’s Kojima Haruna to help promote the game Metal Gear Solid HD Edition. The company has been using the phrase, “Spring (Haru) has come to Kojima Productions”, which is a play on Kojima’s first name; Haruna.

This teaser video shows Kojima sneaking into a building and rewriting the last kanji in “Kojima” to match her name. In addition to this video, Kojima Productions plans on having an interview posted on November 11th and a CM sometime in the near future.

SKE48’s Matsui Rena watches “Rango” with a chameleon

On September 28th, SKE48’s Matsui Rena attended a special preview event for the animated film, “Rango“.

Since the movie follows the adventures of a chameleon named ‘Rango’, Matsui watched the movie with a real live chameleon. Matsui, who says she loves reptiles, showed her excitement by saying, “It’s my first time actually touching it, but I’ve grown to love it even more!” While petting the chameleon, she exclaimed, “It seeks more attention than the dog I own at home. It’s cute.”

Afterwards, Matsui commented, “It’s an anime, but it’s something that adults can enjoy.” She continued, “Rango’s gaze and manner of walking was really like Johnny Depp’s.” Matsui also shared that member Takayanagi Akare was interested in watching the movie, and so she promised, “Next time, we’ll watch it and emphasize together.”

During AKB48’s 2nd Janken Taikai on September 20th, Matsui volunteered herself to be get a ‘binta’ (slap on the face) by former pro-wrestler Antonio Inoki. Regarding this daring move, she stated, “It was the first binta in my life. It gave me motivation, so it was good.” She then reflected on her feelings after the ‘binta’, and said, “It really hurt, and my head went blank. The next day, I felt that my face was smaller…”

“Rango” will hit theatres nationwide on October 22nd.

F.T Island’s Hongki picks Minhwan’s nose?

On the 27th, Lee Hongki uploaded two pictures via his Twitter page with the caption, “Mission: Pick Minari’s nose! A photo right before, and the success photo!” ‘Minari’ (Korean parsley) is fellow bandmate Choi Min Hwan‘s nickname.

In the photos, Choi Min Hwan has no idea Hongki is goofing around. Using the law of perspective, Hongki makes it look like he is picking the nose of Min Hwan who is sitting at a distance from him.

Netizens responded to the photo with, “I laughed out loud“,  ”What are you going to do when he finds out?”, “What are we going to do with this rascal“, “Lee Hongki is so cute“, etc.

Meanwhile, F.T. Island recently took part at the “Korean Music Wave 2011” in Malaysia on the 24th.

Rain shows what it takes to be a “true world-star”

What kind of proof does one need to show everyone that you’re a “world-star”?

Singer Rain thinks he has the answer, as seen by his recent tweet, “This right here is what it takes to be a true world-star!”

He then uploaded a picture of himself getting fanned by beautiful women. Some netizens laughed over Rain’s Minnie Mouse bow, while others pointed out the girl on the very right, who seems to be fanning Rain with a foil plate.

Jang Geun Suk wittily denies getting a nose job

Actor Jang Geun Suk has been accused in the past for getting a nose job, and he’s finally put those rumors to rest.

On September 14th’s broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Knee-Drop Guru‘, Jang Geun Suk returned for another guest appearance and shared his outgoing charms on the talk show.

MC Kang Ho Dong began with the question, “Why did you get a nose job?“, to which Jang Geun Suk replied, “I know many have been suspecting it, but I’ll prove it to you right here” and hilariously started to twist and poke his nose around to prove his statement.

Jang Geun Suk wittily added, “Every time a new makeup artist arrives to do makeup, they take it slow around the nose area,” which caused the studio to roar with laughter.

On September 6th, Dara updated her me2day with the above photo, and a message, “It’s been 5 days since we got to Japan! Since the day of arrival, I’ve been eating curry every day! It’s really delicious~ However, the other members and staff are already growing sick of it. I’m by myself today, so I can finally eat curry again! It’s so delicious! Nyam nyam nyam.”
As seen in the photo above, Dara is eating curry with what seems to be sasuages. Dara’s hairstyle, however, was the main focus of attention for netizens.
Fans that viewed the photo commented, “That’s funny, everytime I see your hair I laugh,” “I love curry, let’s eat some together!” and “Ah, so adorable.”
Fellow member Minzy also filmed a short 8 second clip of Dara being silly with her Vegeta hair.

Was Boom stalking SNSD’s Sunny while he was in the military?

SNSD member Sunny confessed that she’s been stalked by television host, singer, and rapper Boom!

On the September 6th airing of SBS’s ‘Strong Heart’, Sunny revealed, “There was this one person who called me all the time,” and followed up by stating that Boom had been calling her while he was serving in the military.
Sunny continued with her story, “Boom called me all the time. He asked for my help, and made a video call after which he said ‘Don’t hang up’. He told me to ‘wait’, and I could see many soldiers in the back screaming their lungs out after seeing me.”
During the video call, Sunny wasn’t wearing any makeup, nor was she wearing anything fancy, however Boom continued to beg and plead to her to say ‘hi’ to the fellow soldiers, and that she did. She said, “Oppas, it looks like you all are working very hard!“, showing off her well known aegyo charms.
Sunny once again continued by stating, “One time late at night, Boom had called, and it was a collect call. I was trying to hang up, and I said ‘I’m busy’, however Boom continued to say, ‘I know, it must be uncomfortable. How long do you think Yoo Jae Suk and Kang Ho Dong will reign as the best MCs? You know their time is almost up, and they’ll want younger blood. It will soon be my turn,” revealing Boom’s shocking statement.
As Sunny continued to explain, Boom became nervous, shaky, and quickly began to defend himself by saying it was all 100% jokes. Sunny countered his statement by revealing that she felt it was all real feelings.
One of Boom’s other statements revealed by Sunny was, “Sunny, don’t let me go. I really love Soshi“, revealing his love and passion for the girls of SNSD.
Super Junior’s Leeteuk thereafter took the lead by revealing that Boom’s background on his cell phone is none other than a photo of Sunny.
Boom concluded the segment, “Soldiers love women. At the time, I was hosting a radio show for the fellow soldiers, and I knew that my jokes were getting old. We had no guests, and nothing to do, we were bored, which is why I called Sunny and requested that she doesn’t hang up, because we were on air.”
