Maeda Atsuko’s T-shirt on “Hana Kimi” causes controversy?

Fuji TV’s “Hanazakari no Kimitachi e” has been receiving many complaints after it aired a certain scene on August 7th.
Actress Maeda Atsuko (20) was seen sporting a T-shirt printed with the words “LITTLE BOY”, which is the codename of the atomic bomb that dropped on Hiroshima back in World War II. Since the episode was aired the day after Hiroshima day (August 6th), many criticisms surfaced on the internet. Hiroshima prefecture also received around 130 emails and phone calls up until the morning of the 11th about it.
Since Hiroshima prefecture heard voices say, “It is very imprudent”, they asked Fuji TV on August 10th to be more considerate from now on.
The public relations representative for Fuji TV commented, “We didn’t recognize that the writing on the T-shirt was the same name as the atomic bomb that hit Hiroshima. We want to do our best to create a program without any misunderstandings”.

AKB48’s Maeda Atsuko snaps a photo with Suzuki Fuku, Ashida Mana + Mook for “Hana Kimi”!

AKB48 member Maeda Atsuko updated her official blog, teasing fans with a collaboration between “Hana Kimi” and the popular spring drama, “Marumo no Okite“!

“It’s Mana-chan, Fuku-kun and Mook~ The July 3rd broadcast of ‘Marumo no Okite’ will be its last!!” the idol wrote on her official blog. “Three of the members of ‘Hanazakari no Kimitachi e’ get to appear for a moment! And!! In the first episode of ‘Hanazakari no Kimitachi e’! Three people from ‘Marumo no Okite’ will appear!”

In the photo, Acchan – dressed in her boys’ uniform for “Hana Kimi” – squats between child actors Suzuki Fuku and Ashida Mana and their dog, “Mook”. Filming for both episodes has already ended.

Fans were excited to hear about the collaboration between the two dramas, commenting, “I’m so happy to see a collaboration between ‘Marumo no Okite’ and ‘Ikepara’!”, “I’ve been watching ‘Marumo’ every week, but if Acchan’s going to appear I’m really going to look forward to it,” and “Where is Fuku-kun looking? (lol)”
