MUCC : New Look & New Single

On November 23rd, MUCC will be releasing their very first single since their move to Sony Music Entertainment this year. The record will be titled "Arcadia featuring DAISHI DANCE" and the new artist visuals have just been released.

The unusual collaboration song has been written by guitarist Miya and combines the heavy sound of MUCC with the electro sound of DAISHI. The single also comes with the coupling track "NAME", written by Tatsuro.

Rock in Japan Festival 2011 (mucc, MIYAVI, Plastic tree)

JACK IN THE BOX 2011

This year's JACK IN THE BOX will take place at the 26th of August at 18:00, japanese time.
The event will be devided into two parts, the first one will be called ギルガメッシュナイト (Girugamesh Night) with Tatsurou (Mucc) and Satoshi (girugamesh) as hosts.

The second part starts at 23:30 and will feature a session band called "MAVERICK DC SUPER ALL STARS" containing several MAVERICK label artists.
Tatsurou (Mucc), Mao (sid) and girugamesh as well as other MAVERICK artists will appear on stage.

ムック (MUCC) updated their OHP with a new episode of their show MUCK ON TV.
It was shot on the 22nd of August and shows the band talking about 溫泉伝説物語 (onsen densetsu monogatari) (onsen legend stories).

MUCC TOUR “Chemical Parade” FINAL at Nippon Budokan

A two-minute incline from Tokyo’s Kudanshita subway station stands the Nippon Budokan, a martial arts hall that doubles as one of Japan’s most revered live venues. Originally built for the 1964 Olympics, the Budokan was modeled after a portion of Nara’s Hôryû-ji Temple; its proud aesthetic and supportive audience have since attracted a variety of legendary acts, among them Bob Dylan, Queen and Dream Theater. Countless domestic artists, too, have come to the Budokan to mark their own places in musical history, here includingSaijô Hideki, BO0WY and, tonight, a rock band named MUCC.

MUCC : Charity Song "Akatsuki" on iTunes

MUCC : Charity Song "Akatsuki" on iTunes

MUCC's charity single, Akatsuki, is now available on iTunes stores in USA and Europe.

The single, written by Miya, was originally sold exclusively at the MUCC history GIGS 97～11 concert last week at Nippon Budokan.

The single can be downloaded from the iTunes store in USA here.

In addition, the digital release of Akatsuki has been confirmed in Taiwan and can be downloaded from KKBOX, ezPeer and Inmusic.

All profits made from the sale of Akatsuki will be donated to the victims of the March 11th Japan earthquake.

During their MUCC history GIGS 97～11 concert at Nippon Budokan, the band announced that they are changing labels from DANGER CRUE RECORDS to Sony Music Associated Records. With this new label, they plan to release a single and live DVD with material from their "Chemical Parade" tour this autumn.

MUCC : Announces label change to Sony Music + “MUCC day” special event

Rock band MUCC announced on May 21st that they will be switching record labels from DANGER CRUE RECORDS to Sony Music Associated Records.

The announcement was made during MUCC’s concert in the Nippon Budokan, the last stop for their live tour, “TOUR ‘Chemical Parade‘”. The news immediately caused the audience to go into a frenzy. In addition, the band also revealed that a live DVD will be released for “TOUR ‘Chemical Parade’” and that on June 9th (a.k.a. “MUCC day”*), they will hold a livetitled “Maniac Parade 97~11” in Tokyo’s STUDIO COAST. Both the live tour DVD and MUCC’s 1st single with Sony will be released in the fall. The June 9th live tickets go on sale starting May 29th.
