Kato Miliyah to release new single in December

R&B singer Kato Miliyah has announced that she will be releasing her new single, “ROMAN“, on December 14th!

The announcement was made during Kato’s concert in Toyama from her nationwide tour. During the encore, she called out, “I have some news that I’ll be announcing for the first time.” When she revealed the title, the crowd unanimously roared their excitement. Kato mused, “I felt I could be this strong because everyone is there for me. This song was made because of everyone’s presence.”

“ROMAN” is described as a powerful song that portrays the lives of two people who chose a violent fate.

The coupling song, “Baby tell me“, is currently the theme song for Fuji TV’s “Gutannubo“. It will also contain two different remixes of “RAINBOW“.

The single will be available in first press and regular editions. The first press edition will come with a photo booklet and a DVD containing the music video and making-of clips of “ROMAN”.

Kato Miliyah to release “ETERNAL HEAVEN TOUR 2010-2011″ on DVD & Blu-ray

Kato Miliyah has announced that she will be releasing “ETERNAL HEAVEN TOUR 2010-2011” in both DVD and Blu-ray forms on November 2nd.

The announcement was made on the first day of Miliyah’s tour, “Kato Miliyah M BEST TOUR 2011“, at Hiroshima City Bunka Koryu Kaikan on October 8th. When Miliyah called out, “My tour will be released on DVD and Blu-ray, so everyone, please watch it!“, fans gave her a warm round of applause and screamed, “I’ll buy it!”

The DVD/Blu-ray will feature a total of 27 songs over a duration of 142 minutes. The first press edition of the DVD will come with a mini calendar. Meanwhile, the Blu-ray will contain scenes from backstage, and a special clip titled “Behind the Scenes – ‘ETERNAL HEAVEN’ TOUR 2010-2011“.

Recochoku names Top 5 “broken heart” songs that made listeners cry the most

Recochoku recently held a poll on their site, asking users about heart-break songs that made them cry the most.
Though there are thousands of songs that croon about a broken heart, users picked Sonar Pocket’s hit song “Suki da yo. ~100-kai no Koukai~“, which had already ranked in 2nd place on Recochoku’s top list of digital singles for the first half of 2011.
Fans of the song commented: “The lyrics described my feelings perfectly after my girlfriend broke up with me.” (male teenager), “This song made me cry while listening to it since I had a broken heart myself. The lyrics precisely contained my feelings.” (female teenager), and “I had it on repeat many times after I broke up with my boyfriend and it made me cry a lot. This song is from the viewpoint of a man, but that doesn’t make it any less moving for a woman.” (female teenager)
Popular singer Nishino Kana ranked second with her song “Aitakute Aitakute“. Girls especially felt that they could identify with the song and praised its lyrics as well as its heartrending melody.

Kato Miliyah shows off her fashion smarts for “ViVi”

Pop singer Kato Miliyah is the cover girl for the September issue of “ViVi“, where she shows readers how to put together fashionable ensembles in any style.

For her spread, Kato shows ViVi readers how she takes on animal prints and more for a distinct Miliyah-style look. She also contributes to her regular column “Miliyah’s Fashion Show”.

Pop diva Koda Kumi also pops in to chip in some of her own advice, followed by a behind-the-scenes look at Hamasaki Ayumi’s upcoming mini-album, “FIVE“, in her regular feature “Ayu’s Dejideji Diary”.

Music Japan performances for July 17th~

After announcing a killer line-up earlier this week, Music Japan is back with a great new episode!

Next week’s line-up for ‘Music Japan‘ appears to be an exciting one!
