ZE:A members finally get cellphones for Christmas

Just last spring, ZE:A‘s Kwanghee revealed that the ZE:A members did not have cell phones. It looks like Christmas came early for the boys, as they each got a BlackBerry Bold 9900!

Blackberry’s official YouTube uploaded an interview with ZE:A, as they talked about their recent whereabouts, how they use their Blackberry, and much more.

ZE:A releases PV for “Daily Daily” and places third on Oricon Chart

Nine member Korean boy group ZE:A released their newest Japanese single, “Daily Daily” on November 22nd and it has reached number 3 on the Oricon Daily charts by selling 6,600 units.

In conjunction with the release, the PV for the single was also released.

“Daily Daily” is an original Japanese song that is perfectly matched for the winter season. The single also includes a Japanese remake of their Korean hit, “All Day Long”, as well as instrumentals for both songs. Check out the PV below and congratulations to ZE:A for their 3rd place ranking.

ZE:A attracts 10,000 Japanese fans with handshake events

After releasing their first Japanese single “Exciting~ Love Watch”  on August 24th, ZE:A set out to capture the hearts of Japanese fans with a week-long promotional event.

The boys met up with over 10,000 fans from August 29th through September 4th over the course of four handshake events. Competition amongst Japanese media outlets to cover the events was especially fierce, as everyone jockeyed to catch a glimpse of these hot new stars.

Since last March, ZE:A has been promoting both in Korea and Japan for the past year, so they’ve garnered quite the considerable fanbase since then.  This single in particular ranked second on the Oricon daily chart and sixth for the second week in a row on the weekly chart.

ZE:A is currently working on a new album release.

10,000 fans cheer on their idols at the 3rd ‘Idol Star Athletics Championships’

On August 27th, MBC’s third ‘Idol Star Athletics Championships‘ kicked off at the Jamshil Stadium amidst the roar of 10,000 fans.

Hundreds of idols gathered to compete against one another in numerous athletic activities. The program was led by anchorman Oh Sang Jin, Kim Je Dong, Yoon Yeo Choon, and Boom. The opening event began with Mighty Mouth’s Shorry, who parodied the ‘hoop boy’ from the ‘88 Seoul Olympics; this was then followed by Boom Academy’s parody of Stevie Wonder.

The male 100m preliminary race was the first athletics event of the day. 10,000 fans roared in support of Super Junior, INFINITE, Dalmatian, B1A4, ZE:A, Mighty Mouth, MBLAQ, SHINee, TEEN TOP, Hwanhee, gagman Kim Kyung Jin, David Oh, Baek Chung Gang and many others.

The event reported a few injuries here and there, but nothing that the boys couldn’t handle.

After the male match, the women lined up for their own preliminary match, including T-ara, miss A, Rania, SISTAR, A Pink, 5dolls, Rainbow, Dal Shabet, Jewelry, and Nine Muses.

Other competitions included hurdles, long jumps, and high jumps. Be sure to check back with allkpop for the full, two-day Chuseok special next month!

ZE:A’s Kwanghee celebrates his 24th birthday in Hong Kong

On August 25th, ZE:A’s Kwanghee celebrated his 24th birthday with his fellow members in Hong Kong!
Kwanghee updated his Twitter with a message and a series of pictures. He wrote, “Today is August 25th!! Although I’m celebrating my birthday in Hong Kong, I’ll be going to Korea soon~!! Let’s meet in Korea later. Thank you for congratulating my birthday. See you in Korea! Good night everyone~.”

Later, he also tweeted a photo with the 2AM members, “Thank you 2AM for celebrating my birthday with me haha. Also, Kwon-ee’s birthday is coming up on the 28th as well. I guess popular idols are born in August haha. Happy early birthday to you too, Kwon!”
Fans replied, “Happy birthday, have a great day with your members!”, “Kwanghee, the face of ZE:A! Happy birthday!”, and “You all look like you’re having so much fun!”
ZE:A recently released their Japanese special single, “Exciting“, on August 24th and are now focusing on their Japanese promotions.
