Shun Oguri and Yu Yamada Holds Wedding Ceremony in Hawaii ♥

 Shun Oguri and Yu Yamada have held their wedding ceremony in Hawaii.

The ceremony took place on the Hawaiian island of Lanai on January 5th. The wedding reception was held at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay.

A lot of celebrities attended the wedding, among them being Arashi's Jun Matsumoto, Toma Ikuta , Ai Haruna, and many more.

The couple released a joint statement shortly after the ceremony:

"We celebrated our wedding with our good friends and seniors at the beginning of the year. From now on, as we always have, we will treat our family with care and continue our work as actors."

The couple officially got married on March 14th, 2012, but didn't have a wedding ceremony until now.

Oguri Shun gives his thoughts on “Dokurojo no Shichinin” at his rehearsal

On September 4th, Oguri Shun (28) and Moriyama Mirai (27) attended their stage rehearsal for their starring play for Gekidan☆Shinkansen’s “Dokurojo no Shichinin” at Aoyama Theatre in Tokyo.

As for this play, this was first performed in 1990 and is performed every seven years ever since as a tradition – this will be its fourth time.

Oguri, who will be acting in a lot of fighting scenes on this stage, said, “Since stage performance progresses every day, I want to enjoy this daily evolution.” On the other hand, Moriyama said, “I want to do this with large amount of energy.”

Other than Oguri and Moriyama, the cast for this play includes Saotome Taichi, Koike Eiko, Katsuji Ryo, and Naka Riisa.

Oguri Shun and Inoue Mao discuss their new CM and congratulate Tanaka Kei on his marriage

On September 1st, actress Inoue Mao (24) and actor Oguri Shun appeared at a press conference in Tokyo for their new NTT West CM. The pair congratulated friend and fellow actor Tanaka Kei (27) on his marriage, which took place on August 31st. (Tanaka also appeared at the press conference for the CM.)

In their new CM, Oguri plays the role of a young man who takes on the challenge of cooking. Inoue revealed, “Although it is Oguri-san who often plays the role of a hot-blooded man or a narcissist, his role in the CM this time is quite refreshing. Please anticipate the CM.”

Inoue, who plays the heroine in NHK Asa’s TV drama series novel “Ohisama,” sent a message of congratulations to Tanaka, who plays the role of her older brother in the series. She stated, “As your ’sister,’ I am happy for you.” Oguri, who is in the same agency as Tanaka, also expressed his happiness for Tanaka’s marriage and smiled bitterly when asked about his own wedding plans. Their new CM airs on September 2nd in west Japan.

First teaser pictures revealed of Oguri Shun’s guest appearance in “Yuusha Yoshihiko”

It’s been known for a while that actor Oguri Shun would be making a guest appearance in TV Tokyo’s low-budget drama, “Yuusha Yoshihiko to Maou no Shiro“, where he’ll support his friend Yamada Takayuki on his hilarious and spectacular adventure. Details about his role were scant, but now TV Tokyo has finally opened up with their first teaser photos of Oguri’s character, ‘Bacchus‘!

Appearing in the 10th episode, ‘Bacchus’ will pose as the biggest enemy for ‘Yoshihiko‘ (Yamada) and his party before they reach the magic castle.

One may not realize the far-reaching consequences of Oguri playing such a role, but Yamada gladly quoted his friend during an ‘off-meeting‘ that happened on August 5th. He said, “Shun-kun told me that this role is going to be his gateway towards a much greater variety of roles for him in the future.”

Interestingly enough, Oguri and Yamada are also working together in another drama this season. In the surreal series, “Arakawa Under the Bridge“, Oguri plays a village headman disguised as a ‘kappa‘, while Yamada portrays the ‘star‘ of a self-proclaimed former popular musician.

The 10th episode of “Yuusha Yoshihiko to Maou no Shiro” will air on September 9th.
