DiVA’s Miyazawa Sae celebrates birthday with live concert

On August 13th, AKB48 sub-unit DiVA celebrated the release of their newest single “Cry” by holding a live event at Ai Chikyuu Haku Memorial Park.

August 13th was also member Miyazawa Sae’s birthday, and so despite the intense heat, 2,300 fans gathered for this special event.

While the four members were on standby for their next number, “Namida Surprise” started to play instead. The other three members – Akimoto Sayaka, Umeda Ayaka and Masuda Yuka – collaborated with their huge fanbase to surprise Miyazawa by celebrating her birthday together.

Touched, Miyazawa thanked everyone and said, “This is the first time in my life that this many people have celebrated my birthday. I’m so thankful for all the fans who cheer on DiVA and myself, even when people should put the utmost attention on themselves on such a hot day like today.”

After the live, the girls greeted their fans off by stamping an item of their fans’ choice. This portion of the live was called ‘Osukina mono ni Stamp Pon!!‘ (We’ll stamp whatever you like, PON!), and the stamps they pressed were personally designed by the members themselves. DiVA will be holding another event like this on August 20th at Chiba Makuhari Messe and on September 17th at Senri Serushii in Osaka.

DiVA announces they are opening auditions for a new member

AKB48 sub-unit DiVA has announced that they will hold auditions for a new member!

The group is currently made up of Akimoto Sayaka, Umeda Ayaka, Masuda Yuka, and Miyazawa Sae. DiVA will be the first of any AKB48 sub-units who will welcome non-AKB48 members.

For this audition, applicants must be from ages 18 to 23, with dance experience. The auditions will consist of three rounds: the first round being applications,the second round is of interviews, and the final round will have dancing and singing in front of DiVA. Successful candidates will sign with Office48, and join DiVA as new members. Applications are due by August 20th.

Additionally, DiVA has announced an event for the release of their latest single, “Cry“. The event is called, “Mini Live + Osuki na Mono ni Stamp PON!!!“, and fans will be able to receive a special stamp designed by members of DiVA on whatever they want. ‘a-nation’ artists are selling their songs at half-price!

avex artists will be kicking off their live event “a-nation 10th Anniversary for Life Charge & Go! Weider in Jelly” on July 30th. To celebrate, mu-mo will be holding a special project starting on July 29th!

This project will select three random names from a lottery to receive signed goods from TRF, Every Little Thing, Hamasaki Ayumi, Koda Kumi, Do As Infinity, Suzuki Ami, AAA, Goto Maki, GIRL NEXT DOOR, ICONIQ, mihimaru GT, SEAMO, Tohoshinki, hitomi and moumoon.

In addition, mu-mo will be selling singles from avex artists for half the price until August 31st! Fans shouldn’t miss this chance to download their favorite artists’ biggest hits and new songs.

Furthermore, this years’ “a-nation for life” will naturally include regulars like Hamasaki Ayumi, Koda Kumi, and Every Little Thing. AKB48 and their sub-units DiVA, Not yet, French Kiss and Itano Tomomi will also be there as well.

AKB48 sub-unit DiVA released their full PV for their upcoming single, “Cry“, today.

This 4-minute video features shots of the girls dancing in front of a serene background, in addition to individual cuts in the rain, giving the PV an overall strong, yet cool feel.
