Sakanaction reveals details on their new music video collection

Sakanaction has revealed details on their upcoming music video collection, “SAKANARCHIVE 2007-2011~Sakanaction Music Video Collection~“, which is scheduled to be released on December 14th.

This DVD will contain music videos for 14 Sakanaction songs, as well as the new PV to “Document“. The band compiled 15 songs in total after re-mastering them, and listed the tracks in chronological order so that fans could look back on Sakanaction’s history.

There will also be many privilege videos attached the collection. The first pressed copies will include a poster calendar for 2012, as well as a “SAKANARCHIVE Music Video Directors Book”, a published questionnaire answered by the creators who’ve made the PVs for Sakanaction in the past.

20,000 fans go wild for Sakanaction at Makuhari Messe

On November 6th, Sakanaction performed at Makuhari Messe for their nationwide tour “SAKANAQUARIUM 2011 DocumentaLy”.

This was the band’s first time at Makuhari Messe, making it the biggest venue they have played at, with a total of 20,000 fans attending. The music was amazing and the laser light show was said to be the best part.

The band still has a few more tour dates. On November 10th and 11th they will be heading to Kyoto and after that they will be at the all night live & DJ event “LIVE NEXUS AID ANNEXUS” in Tokyo on the 18th.

Sakanaction reveals jacket cover + track list for “DocumentaLy”

Rock band Sakanaction has finally revealed the jacket cover and track list for their upcoming album, “DocumentaLy“!

The jacket cover features an impressive design of a human silhouette made up of English words. The artwork was done by  design team, Hatos.

“DocumentaLy” will contain a total of 12 songs including their singles, “Identity“, “Rookie“, and “Bach no Senritsu wo Yoru ni Kiita Sei Desu“. Additionally, the limited editions of the album will include a bonus track, “Like a live Mix” of their song “Holly Dance“, which was the coupling track to “Identity”.

The DVD that comes with the limited edition A will contain making-of videos for the songs “Endless” and “Document“. The video for “Endless” shows the 8-month process behind the creation of the song, while the video for “Document” is a live session of the song.

Sakanaction : New album "DocumentaLy"

Rock band Sakanaction has revealed the title for their new album!
Sakanaction’s fifth album will be titled, "DocumentaLy", and it’ll contain their latest singles, “Identity“, “Rookie“, “Bach no Senritsu wo Yoru ni Kiita Sei Desu“, and their new song, “Endless“.
The album will come in three versions: limited edition A (CD+DVD+booklet), limited edition B (CD+booklet), and a regular edition (CD-Only). The DVD for limited edition A will contain a documentary about their recording.
Sakanaction commented, “The word ‘mental’ is found in ‘DocumentaLy’. We always live while clashing ‘reality’ and ‘heart’ without thinking. So in this album, we sought to change that outcome into music for a moment.”
They continued, “It’s a competition between music and us. We are musicians, but we hope to deliver that we are just like everyone else who love music through ‘DocumentaLy’ ”
“DocumentaLy” is scheduled to be released on September 28th.

Sakanaction Announces New Summer Single

Rock band Sakanaction has announced via their offical website that they will be releasing a new single this summer. 

After their last single "Rookie" was released in March, the band will be back with their 5th single on July 20. The new single has not been titled yet becuase the group is currently busy recording the new track.

The single will include a bonus serial number which can be used in a raffle to get tickets to their upcoming nationwide tour.
