On September 17th and 18th, T.M. Revolution (Nishikawa Takanori) held his open-air rock festival, “Inazuma Rock Fes 2011“, at Karasuma Peninsula Shibafu Hiroba in his hometown, Shiga Prefecture.
Within the two days, a total of 27,000 people gathered to join in on the festival. Nishikawa called out to the victims from the Tohoku Earthquake by shouting, “I want to send power from Shiga Prefecture to the outskirts of Japan.
As its third annual festival, the first day consisted of performances by Nakagawa Shoko, jealkb, Aobozu, Def Tech, Dragon Ash, and abingdon boys school. Meanwhile, the 18th hosted a lineup of FLOW, Hilcrhyme, Aqua Timez, the GazettE, and T.M. Revolution. Additionally, eight comedians including AMEMIYA, Ayaman JAPAN, and TKO made appearances on both days.
Nishikawa’s band, abingdon boys school kicked off the event, and enlivened the crowd with “HOWLING“, “JAP“, and “INNOCENT SORROW“. On the second day, T.M. Revolution was first to take the stage, and sang a variety of hit songs including “FLAGS“, “Naked arms“, and “SWORD SUMMIT“. He also presented his latest single, “UTAGE“, which will be released on November 16th. For the  finale, Nishikawa covered Nakagawa Shoko’s “Sorairo Days“, and sang a duet with her for the first time.
Nishikawa expressed his gratitude with, “There are many people in Shiga Prefecture who work all year-round for this event. Also, there are many people who have gathered at this place in response. Thank you for creating a place where I can confirm this great bond.

T.M.Revolution tweets mysterious photos from calendar shoot

T.M.Revolution played a small prank on fans recently when he tweeted a mysterious set of photos from his calendar shoot.
His tweets mentioned a special “her”, and probably misled fans about the nature of the shoot itself: “Yesterday I was in a studio all day to shoot photos for my Fan Club calendar! I had a great time with her♡ “.
His next tweet revealed the mysterious “her” he referred to is none other than his dog! “Literally one day job though..taking clothes on and off from early morning so I got kinda tired but so is she :P“.
Seems like T.M’s been keeping busy for all his fans!

Nishikawa Takanori (also known as T.M.Revolution) revealed that he will star in Japan’s first production of the popular musical “Rock of Ages.” The musical premiered in Los Angeles in 2006 and has been performed on Broadway since 2009, and a movie version is being released in the United States in 2012.
“Rock of Ages” incorporates classic rock hits from the ’80s, including bands like Bon Jovi, Journey, and Europe. Nishikawa will be singing these songs in his starring role for the Japanese production, which is being performed in celebration of All Night Nippon’s 45th anniversary.
The musical will run at the Tokyo International Forum from October 28 to November 6. Nishikawa will also perform the musical in other parts of Japan, but the schedule has not yet been announced.
Nishikawa also announced that he is releasing a new single titled “FLAGS” on June 22, which will be the first of his 15th anniversary year. The song will be the opening theme of the “Sengoku Basara” anime movie that premieres on June 4, as well as the theme song of the “Sengoku Basara” video game (PlayStation Portable) that goes on sale on July 21.
The single’s B-side “The party must go on” will be the ending theme of the “Sengoku Basara” movie.
