On July 27th, Matsui Rena of Nagoya-based idol group SKE48, turned 20-years-old and therefore officially became an adult in Japan.
Weekly magazine “Nikkan SPA!” visited Matsui after the live broadcast of news show “PON” in order to throw a little birthday party for her. They gave her a delicious cake, a book about melon bread, and a cute parasol as presents.
Matsui was grateful for the presents and said, “Is it really okay to get so many presents? Thank you very much.”
She also spoke about her ambitions, saying, “Now that I turned twenty, I think I should pay more attention to my health. Maybe I will become a health-otaku (laughs). I’m pursuing the beauty of a healthy adult.”
