YWHO releases Part 3 “Love Tonight” from 4Men

YWHO Enterprise, led by Vibe’s Yoon Min Soo, have released the third part of their summer special album!
Comprised of talented vocalists 4men, Bebe Mignon, and Mi, YWHO Enterprise gathered much attention back in December last year for their winter special album. This time around, YWHO released a summer edition of their album called ‘The YWHO Voice‘.
Bebe Mignon was the first in line to release their summer single, “Doo Be Doo Ba“, this was followed up by Mi who released the second second summer single titled, “I Love You, My Baby“. Now, Part 3 featuring 4Men has been released! The single titled, “Love Tonight” was slated for release on August 22nd but was delayed a week.
Check out the cute MV for “Love Tonight” below, it’s somewhat of a continuation from Mi’s MV.

Super Junior’s “Mr. Simple” MV is 5th on YouTube Global chart

Super Junior’s music video for “Mr. Simple” placed 5th on the YouTube global chart.
Super Junior released the music video for “Mr. Simple” on August 4th and tallying views from July 27th to August 26th, the video placed 5th overall with a view tally of 9,409,999 views. With this accomplishment, Super Junior were on the top 10 list with some very famous company including artists such as Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Jay Z, Maroon 5, Taylor Swift and others.
Although this proves their popularity abroad, they also did well at home as the video received top honors for ‘Most Viewed’, ‘Most Commented’, and ‘Most Favorited’ on YouTube Korea as well.
Additionally, Super Junior released the music video for “SUPERMAN“ on the 26th and the video has also received a lot of love.

Rainbow makes an outing to a cafe

Girl group Rainbow have taken a break from their hectic schedules to go out on a cafe date!

On August 28th, Rainbow updated their official Facebook with a picture of themselves at a cafe.

The girls wanted to recharge after running through their tight schedules, and so they decided to enjoy the afternoon drinking refreshing juices while hanging out happily together.

Rainbow stated, “It was so good and happy to have all the members meet for a break together. It is a special time for us. We talked about our future plans and how we can be a big help for one another.”

It’s really heartwarming to see how close these girls are, isn’t it?

SNSD’s Sooyoung gets injured in a car accident, forced to withdraw from schedules

It’s just been reported that SNSD’s Sooyoung was involved in a car accident early yesterday morning, but fortunately, she did not receive any serious injuries.

On August 29th, SM Entertainment released a statement that said, “Sooyoung is suffering from a sacrovertebral fracture from the car accident, but thankfully, the injury is nothing serious.”
They continued, “The doctor in charge gave a positive prognosis and said that with plenty of rest and treatment, she will be fully recovered in no time. Sooyoung will be unable to participate in upcoming planned schedules.”

The injury from her car accident means that Sooyoung will not be able to perform at the “SM TOWN LIVE in Tokyo” or at SNSD’s live concert in Taiwan.
According to SM Entertainment, Sooyoung was traveling from Seoul to Chunan at 9 AM on August 28th for her next schedule, when the car on the opposite lane had carelessly crashed into Sooyoung’s car.
SM added, “Sooyoung was on her way to complete her volunteer services for the visually impaired when the accident occurred. The car in the opposite lane crossed the center line and consequently crashed into Sooyoung’s vehicle.”

Sooyoung is currently receiving treatment at a hospital and is recuperating from the accident.

‘Running Man’ warns against possible kidnapping dangers from staff imposters

Netizens were abuzz with excitement recently when pictures were leaked from a purported filming of SBS’s popular variety show, ‘Running Man‘. According to the pictures, the show was filming in Changwon with guests G-Dragon and T.O.P.

The rumors were quickly debunked as a hoax, however, by various cast members and staff. “We have never filmed in Changwon,” said Jo Hyo Jin, a PD for the program. “We don’t have any plans of the sort until October.”

Unfortunately, it turns out that there could be more to this seemingly innocuous prank. “From what I’ve heard, these people have been acting as shooting staff and luring young girls to board their vehicles,” said cast member Gary in a Twitter post.

He added, “I hope Changwon residents will not become confused and will warn surrounding areas as well. It was serious enough for the police to contact us, so please be careful. And make sure to report what you see.”

PD Jo Hyo Jin later stated, “I have just heard the news, and I hope nothing bad has happened.”

“If an incident occurred where someone posed as a staff member and lured people to board their car, it could be filed as a kidnapping charge,” said a representative for the Changwon police. “However, we do not know anything concerning these Internet rumors at this time.”

Netizens reacted with disbelief and concern over the news. “I hope the Changwon-area students are very careful,” said a worried netizen.

Big Bang’s Daesung receives a verdict of ‘Not Guilty’

Big Bang’s Daesung has finally concluded his court case regarding his car accident on May 31st with a verdict of ‘not guilty’.

After reviewing the case, prosecutors decided that there wasn’t enough hard evidence to determine whether or not the motorcyclist Hyun had been alive or deceased before Daesung ran him over with his vehicle. Also, they did not rule out the possibility that the motorcyclist, who was under the influence upon the time of his death, could’ve died from the initial collision with a streetlight.

“Although it should be recognized that Daesung drove without maintaining a safe distance and ignoring his surroundings, it is hard to make the connection between this fact and the death of the victim,” stated a representative for the police. “We made a judgment of not guilty based on the principle of ‘innocent until proven guilty’.”

Based on the above information, they rendered a verdict of ‘not guilty’ for the beleaguered Daesung. “Since Daesung reached a civil settlement with the victim’s party on July 19th, you can say that this case is now closed,” said the police.

Jang Geun Suk drops $6,500 USD in one shopping session

Actor Jang Geun Suk’s rising popularity in Japan has increased the amount of exposure he gets in the media, as there are now even reports on his shopping activities!

On August 28th, Japan’s News Port Seven reported on the actor’s trip to the mall with an interesting discovery.  After arriving in Japan on the 19th, he’s spent busy days recording for TV programs and broadcasts before finally finding time for himself on the 28th.

Around 3 PM, he was spotted visiting a mall in Shinjuku and heading straight for a male clothing shop that handles designer brands both domestic and international.  At once, he dropped 500,000 YEN (about $6,500 USD on a long coat, jacket, sneakers, and other items.  Considering the fact that the shopping activities of Korean artists aren’t as transparent as Hollywood stars, this comes off as interesting information to fans.

Fans began to swarm around the area, but the five body guards with him kept them at bay.  One Japanese fan said, “They didn’t allow us to get close or take pictures.  Still, I’m satisfied because I got to see him up close.”

After shopping for an hour, he was reported to have eaten at a restaurant on the seventh floor before making his exit.

Wonder Girls’ Sohee wanted to become an actress

In Cube Entertainment CEO Hong Seung Sung’s new book, “There Will be No Spotlight If You Stop Now“, he revealed that the Wonder Girls‘ Sohee had actually expressed a desire in halting her activities as a singer and becoming an actress in 2008.

Hong was the co-founder of JYP Entertainment before he went on to launch his own label, Cube, so the book delves into some of the inner-workings and stories of the label and its artists.

Hong revealed, “After Sohee starred in the movie ‘I Like It Hot’, she expressed that she wanted to focus on her acting career instead of her singing career.  Because of that, we had to persuade her to change her mind for two to three months.  Even if it wasn’t Sohee but another member, at the time, we had no choice but to help change her heart.”

He continued, “As opposed to worrying about one member leaving a five member group, I was worried that her decision wouldn’t be a safe one, especially since she’s been training for years specifically to become a singer.  Fortunately, Sohee agreed with the company on still trying new things as a singer and to spend more time thinking about it.”

In actuality, rumors of Sohee’s departure began circulating amongst fans after the movie hit theaters in 2008.  Although they were left as rumors then, the book confirms that they could’ve become true had it not been for the company persuading her.

After releasing their first digital single, ‘Rocket Girl‘, STELLAR is becoming a hot search item on various portal sites.

On August 25th, STELLAR performed their debut stage with “Rocket Girl” on Mnet’s ‘M Countdown‘, on the 26th, KBS’s ‘Music Bank‘, and on the 28th, SBS’s ‘Inkigayo‘. STELLAR showed off a unique and fresh color, different from the other female groups.

JYJ’s Yoochun chooses Jaejoong as his rival

On August 29th, JYJ’s Yoochun attended the press conference for the ‘2011 Seoul International Drama Awards‘ at the International Conference Hall in Seoul.

When asked by reporters who he considered his rival as a Hallyu star, Yoochun replied, “He’s actually close to me.  He’s currently filming the drama ‘Protect the Boss‘ and I’ll be visiting tomorrow to see him.  Even while filming, he’s on alert.”

The person he chose is none other than fellow member Jaejoong, who’s currently playing the role of ‘Cha Moo Won’ on ‘Protect the Boss’.

Yoochun also won the online popularity poll held by ‘Yahoo! Korea’ for the ceremony with 480,000 votes.  On winning, he said, “I’m honored to receive such a big award.  Because the poll was held all across Asia, it’s that much more meaningful but also that much more pressuring for me.”

Karyu and Giru join rock band Angelo

Rock band Angelo has added two new members to their band, with the three original members the band is once again, a five man band.

Karyu (ex. D’espairs Ray) and Giru (ex. Vidoll) are both joining Kirito (vocal), KOHTA (bass), and TAKEO (drums) as guitarists.

Angelo will be releasing a new album on October 5th called, “BABEL“. Karyu and Giru will both be participating in this new album, so it will be interesting to hear what kind of new music they can make together.

The band is also doing a Fall and Winter tour, ‘CORNERSTONE OF THE FORBIDDEN TOWER‘ starting on November 20th in Yokohama BAY HALL and ending on February 2, 2012 at Osaka BIG CAT.

THE BAWDIES to release new single, “RED ROCKET SHIP”

Rock band THE BAWDIES have announced that they will be releasing a brand-new single titled “RED ROCKET SHIP” on October 19th!

Since the single will be released prior to their one-man live at the Nippon Budokan on November 27th, a special “Nippon Budokan Commemoration version” of the single will be sold in limited quantities at their concert. Additionally, a foldable pair of opera glasses will be included in the box.

The coupling track for this single will be a nine-song medley of live recordings from their guys-only live “I’m A Man“, which was held on May 15th in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo. The live recordings contain forty-two minutes of sweaty chaos as THE BAWDIES performed in front of 250 male fans. It also holds the moment when the band announced that they would be holding their first live at the Nippon Budokan.

ONE PIECE collaborates with Hello Kitty!

It’s just been announced that popular manga/anime series “ONE PIECE” will be collaborating with Sanrio’s Hello Kitty brand for a new series of products called, “ONE PIECE×HELLO KITTY“.

The designs for this series revolves around the concept  of ONE PIECE character Chopper coming to play in Hello Kitty’s world. Starting in November, approximately 20 companies will gradually release products ranging from stationery, clothes, fashion accessories, and miscellaneous goods. Sanrio will release about 350 different products from the line within the year.

New 5-member boy band “Boyz” to debut soon

A new 5-member boy band named “Boyz” is prepping to debut soon.

The group is from VIP Entertainment and originally their group name was supposed to be “VIP,” for obvious reasons.  However, due to Big Bang’s fanclub name being VIP, they decided to change the groups’ name to “Boyz.”

The names of the 5 members are, Enok, Noa, Yoondam, Junwon and Haru.An exact debut date has not yet been revealed.

Super Junior’s Leeteuk cries as Heechul gives his final words on ‘Inkigayo’

On this week’s broadcast of SBS’s ‘Inkigayo‘, Super Junior received their second consecutive Mutizen award for their latest hit, “Mr. Simple”.
This week’s win was a lot more meaningful for both the group and their fans, since it was the last music show for member Kim Heechul before he withdraws for army service on September 1st.
It seems that out of all the Super Junior members, leader Leeteuk was hit hardest by his emotions. Overwhelmed, Leeteuk’s tears flowed down uncontrollably as he gave his thank you speech and hugged Heechul tightly in his arms.
Leeteuk expressed, “Thank you to everyone who has given us love. Heechul is also leaving for the army soon, so thank you for giving us such a special gift.”
Heechul added, “This was my last stage before the army. It feels great to have been given such a special award before my leave. I’m always thankful to Jungsoo (Leeteuk) as well as the other members. For the fans who have loved us, I love you too. Thank you to all the staff of ‘Inkigayo’ who gave us so much of their time, and I’m especially thankful to all the managers who put up with my bad temper. I’m not very good at expressing myself, so I’ll just leave it here. I’ll come back safely, stay healthy!”

SECRET to release an album in Korea before returning with “Shy Boy” in Japan

SECRET is on a roll with their Japanese promotions! Following their “Madonna” release, the girls have decided to go with “Shy Boy” as their second Japanese work.

SECRET have already completed filming their music video for “Shy Boy” on August 28th, and will finalize preparations for their release by September. Details on whether the release will be a single or a mini-album have yet to be revealed.

The girls shared that they hope to show a different charm to their strong, cosmopolitan look from “Madonna” by going for a sweeter, swings-style with “Shy Boy”.

Before their “Shy Boy” release in November, however, the girls will be releasing an official album in Korea.

Cube Entertainment files a lawsuit on behalf of B2ST’s first album

Following in the footsteps of SM Entertainment, Cube Entertainment has filed their own lawsuit against the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family for the banning of B2ST’s “Rainy Days“.

On August 29th, representatives of Cube revealed, “On August 25th, we filed a lawsuit against the MOGEF requesting that they nullify the ban on B2ST’s first official album.  One of the tracks, ‘Rainy Days’, was banned for lyrics containing a reference to alcohol.  The lyrics did not intend to glamorize drinking nor encourage it.  The song is not about drinking at all, but rather a love story.”

They continued, “Considering the fact that the MOGEF has failed to ban other songs that contain strong lyrical content talking directly about topics that are more harmful to the youth, B2ST’s ban is a violation of equality.”

CEO Hong Seung Sung added, “I hope that they’ll continue to lend their ears to the rumbles in the music industry. They need to take in the opinions of not only the people in the industry, but the fans as well.”

2NE1 wants their fans to check out their upcoming appearance on ‘Music Station’

Lee Seung Gi to make a comeback as a “Bad Guy”?

After 2 years since the release of his last album, on the 28th it was revealed that Lee Seung Gi will be coming back with his 5th album. There will be about 9 or 10 tracks on the new album and Lee Seung Gi has finished recording 5 tracks so far.
In addition, Brown Eyed Soul’s Jungyeop and Echo bridge, known as the Honey Duo producing team will be taking part in this album. Honey Duo wrote and composed a track for Lee Seung Gi’s comeback called, “Bad Guy.” Through this track, Lee Seung Gi will show a big transformation of his image.
A related source stated, “We put a lot of effort to change Lee Seung Gi’s kind image into a sexy and mysterious one.”

Jo Kwon bids farewell to Kim Heechul

2AM member Jo Kwon recently bid farewell to Super Junior’s Kim Heechul.

On August 28th, Jo Kwon wrote via twitter, “Heechul hyung stay healthy and come back safe. Heechul hyung fighting!”

Along with the tweet he added the above picture which was taken backstage during SBS TV’s Inkigayo. In the picture Jo Kwon can be seen with f(x)’s Sulli, Kim Heechul, IU, and B2ST’s Lee Ki Kwang.

The netizens who saw a photo of Jo Kwon and Heechul together wrote, “Jo Kwon oppa don’t cry“, “Good luck in the military Heechul“, and “Heechul looks a bit stiff in that photo, maybe because he’s going to the army?”

TVXQ shocks Japan’s ‘a-nation’ fans with ending performance

TVXQ put on the ending performance for Avex’s A-Nation concert in Tokyo, which shocked both the media and concert goers.

For the past 8 years, Avex’s Queen pop artist, Hamasaki Ayumi closed the concerts by putting on the ending performance, but this year TVXQ was chosen. Being chosen as Avex A-Nation’s ACE is a huge deal, and the media went abuzz about how it was the climax of TVXQ’s career.

The concert took place on the 27th and although it was originally announced that Hamasaki Ayumi would be ending the show, since it was A-Nation’s 10th year celebratory concert, they wanted to shock the fans, hence TVXQ took the honor of closing the show.

2NE1 Park Bom’s Cellist sister amazes fans

At 2NE1’s first solo concert, “NOLZA“, member Park Bom and her sister Park Goeun stood together on stage and put on a spectacular performance.
Park Bom sang her solo song “You & I“, while her sister Park Goeun played the background music through her cello.
During an interview, Park Bom stated, “I didn’t think my sisters cello performance would match well the song, but fans said it matched perfectly, so I think it was a good stage performance. It was really touching.”
Talent surely runs in the Park family!

SPYAIR to finally release their first album

Rock band SPYAIR has announced that they will be releasing their first album, ‘Rockin’ The World‘ on September 21st. The album will come with a total of twelve songs, which includes their debut song “LAIR” the theme song for the TBS drama ‘Hammer Session‘, as well as “Samurai Heart (Some Like it Hot!!)“, the theme song to TvTokyo’s anime series ‘GinTama‘.
SPYAIR consists of 5 members: IKE (vocals), UZ (guitar), MOMIKEN (bass), KENTA (drums), and ENZEL☆ (DJ). They made their debut with “LAIR” on August 11th of last year. In July 2011, they performed at Korea’s biggest rock festival ‘JISAN VALLEY ROCK FESTIVAL 2011‘ and have since been receiving widespread attention from Korean fans.
At this time, they’ve also created a theme song for Matsuda Shota’s drama, ‘Don ★ Quixote‘, which is titled “Beautiful Days“.

The ‘First Day Limited Edition A’ version will include music videos as well as footage from their live concerts before the band made their major debut. Meanwhile, the ‘First Day Limited Edition B’ version will come with an additional 8 songs, which are to be chosen from the coupling tracks recorded for previous single releases. This will include their song “Over“, which they released while they were an Indies band, but is currently unavailable to be purchased.
All editions will come with a entry postcard for a chance to win tickets to their one man live at the Hibiya Outdoor Theater on October 30th.

AKB48’s Kasai Tomomi becomes your wife in ‘Young Magazine’

The latest issue of ‘Young Magazine‘ featured AKB48 member and part of ‘YM7‘, Kasai Tomomi, in a sweet new solo pictorial.
The theme of the pictorial is – ‘If you marry Tomomi‘ – and she certainly teases us in an irresistible way by turning into a beautiful newlywed, awaiting the wedding night while wearing her gorgeous mint green wedding dress. Our little fantasy with Tomomi continues the following day, where we get to see her with her fresh morning face and some cute sleepwear we finally get to see in broad daylight. What’s happening after breakfast is left to our imaginations, but she already changed into a sweet red negligee, anticipating the next day of her new married life (to you).
This solo pictorial is still part of the “AKB48 Jinbocho Gokokuji Taisen“, the ongoing battle between ‘YM7′, the AKB48 team for ‘Young Magazine’, and ‘YJ7‘, the group’s team for ‘Young Jump‘. They are currently in the fourth round and, next to releasing such nice eye-candy, are fighting each other with short clips where they showcase their special abilities.
