On September 4th, AKB48’s Maeda Atsuko held her first solo live event at Yomiuri Land in Tokyo. Accompanied by a live band, she sang four songs in front of 6,000 fans. Maeda greeted, “What I wanted to try most was to sing live with a band,” and continued, “I got to do what I want, it was a happy event.”
Maeda appeared on stage wearing a white camisole and a mint-green skirt, and sang “Kono Mune no Melody“, “Hoozue to Cafe Macchiato“, “Yoake Made“, and “Flower“. She shared, “If I were to have one AKB48 member here, I want Takamina [Takahashi Minami] to be the MC. I feel she would liven things up even before I hit the stage.” She also said, “AKB48’s sub-units and solo members like Tomochin [Itano Tomomi] levels up by releasing CDs. I want to continue singing, and not lose to them.”
On this day, a handshake event was also held along with the live. Maeda’s “Flower” is currently on sale for 1,600 yen (approximately 20 USD).
