“New Prince of Tennis” to be released as an anime series

It’s been reported that Konomi Takeshi’s popular manga, “New Prince of Tennis“, will be adapted into an anime series!

“New Prince of Tennis” is the sequel to “Prince of Tennis“, and is currently serialized in the manga magazine, “Jump Square“. The story continues after the nationwide tournament that took place in “Prince of Tennis”. ‘Seishun Academy’ and their rival schools are permitted to enter the U-17 Invitational Tournament by special participation, and will compete against high school students.

More information on the anime series will be announced at a later date by “Jump Square”.

Additionally, the movie “Prince of Tennis The Movie – Eikoku Teikyu Kessen!” will hit theatres nationwide on September 3rd. Set in the Wimbledon, the movie portrays the story of the “Prince of Tennis” all-stars who challenge champions from all over the world.
