On September 17th and 18th, T.M. Revolution (Nishikawa Takanori) held his open-air rock festival, “Inazuma Rock Fes 2011“, at Karasuma Peninsula Shibafu Hiroba in his hometown, Shiga Prefecture.
Within the two days, a total of 27,000 people gathered to join in on the festival. Nishikawa called out to the victims from the Tohoku Earthquake by shouting, “I want to send power from Shiga Prefecture to the outskirts of Japan.”
As its third annual festival, the first day consisted of performances by Nakagawa Shoko, jealkb, Aobozu, Def Tech, Dragon Ash, and abingdon boys school. Meanwhile, the 18th hosted a lineup of FLOW, Hilcrhyme, Aqua Timez, the GazettE, and T.M. Revolution. Additionally, eight comedians including AMEMIYA, Ayaman JAPAN, and TKO made appearances on both days.
Nishikawa’s band, abingdon boys school kicked off the event, and enlivened the crowd with “HOWLING“, “JAP“, and “INNOCENT SORROW“. On the second day, T.M. Revolution was first to take the stage, and sang a variety of hit songs including “FLAGS“, “Naked arms“, and “SWORD SUMMIT“. He also presented his latest single, “UTAGE“, which will be released on November 16th. For the finale, Nishikawa covered Nakagawa Shoko’s “Sorairo Days“, and sang a duet with her for the first time.
Nishikawa expressed his gratitude with, “There are many people in Shiga Prefecture who work all year-round for this event. Also, there are many people who have gathered at this place in response. Thank you for creating a place where I can confirm this great bond.”
