AKB48 attended a press conference for “AKB48 Team Frame Stamp Set”. Takahashi Minami represented Team A, Minegishi Minami represented Team K, and Watanabe Mayu represented Team B; promoting their team’s set respectively.
Takahashi commented, “Stamps are known for being of historical people. Perhaps AKB can wedge ourselves in with them.” Minegishi encouraged people to buy their sets, “Please buy two sets, one as a keepsake and one to use. I’m looking for fan letters using these stamp sets.”
Each set comes to a total of 5,700 yen (~73 USD) and includes a stamp sheet with all of the members’ faces, a postcard, stationary, and a passbook case. Starting on the 8th, people can head to the post office and apply for their AKB48 stamps and they will be shipped starting on February 1, 2012.
