Here's a part of the interview.
TOKYOPOP: How did the name D come about?
Asagi (vocalist): Passion! I'm joking; the name comes from the shape of the letter D. The first stroke of the letter D is a straight line, representing the strength of the inner core of a human. The second stroke is a curved line, which represents flexibility. You need both of these elements in life.
TP: What is the biggest difference between your Japanese fans and American fans?
A: American fans have more prevalent voices; they respond more during our shows. Their loud voices make more of an impression on us; their enthusiasm directly contribute to how we perform live on stage.
TP: Tell us about your latest album, Huang di ~Yami ni umareta mukui~. What is the inspiration for this album?
A: We started making this album after our last single, "Torikago Goten ~L'Oiseau Bleu~". This single was released right after our first foreign live show; the song is about being set free from a birdcage. This album is a continuation of this theme. Huang di ~Yami ni umareta mukui~ was inspired by the moment after you are set free from a birdcage; how the first thing you see is the sky. This idea became the theme for the album.
