50,000+ people attend massive anime song festival at Saitama Super Arena

From August 27th to the 28th, Saitama Super Arena hosted a massive anime song live festival called ‘Animelo Summer Live 2011 –rainbow’, which attracted approximately 53,500 people in two days! Artists like Mizuki Nana, Momoiro Clover Z, and BREAKERZ participated in this festival, and secret guests Mizuki Ichirou and T.M Revolution also took the stage as well.
This 7th anniversary event starred 32 musicians and 65 artists, who all delivered over 10 hours of passionate performances in total. Secret guest T.M. Revolution performed “FLAGS” — which was used as the opening theme song for anime movie, “Sengoku BASARA – The Last Party-” — and “SWORD SUMMIT”, the opening theme song for the TV anime of the same series.The other secret guest, Mizuki Ichirou, also performed a song from “Sengoku BASARA – The Last Party -” called “Mazinger Z”.
In addition, idol group Momoiro Clover Z wowed the crowd when they performed “Z Densetsu –Owarinaki Kakumei-“ in cute outfits, and band BREAKERZ played “Everlasting Luv”, the current opening theme song for anime “Detective Conan”.
Meanwhile, Mizuki Nana (who’s well-known for her anime songs and works) sang “Junketsu Paradox”, the current ending theme song for  “BLOOD-C”. Furthermore, this event even held dream collaboration songs featuring Horie Yoshiko and Mizuki Nana, as well as between Chihara Minori and Tamura Yukari.
A talk program with the artists called “Anime Summer 2011 Backstage Special ~Together for Tomorrow” was broadcasted live through Nico Nico Douga as well.
With a phenomenal line-up like that, it’s no wonder the event drew over 50,000 people!
